Not long ago, we were telling you about Lindsay Lohan’s interview with Interview magazine, in which she spoke, among others, of her reputation in the media getting the best of her career, which meant she was being refused the parts that went to other actresses her age, such as Scarlett Johansson. The February issue of the mag is now out at newsstands and, as it turns out, there’s more to the La Lohan! edition than we previously discussed.

In the lengthy interview, Lindsay tackles such topics as growing up under the glaring eye of the media, never wanting to be famous, learning from her mistakes to raise to the standards that the media set for her, as well as being misunderstood. It comes accompanied by one of the classiest photo shoots the young actress ever took part in – mostly black and white photographs shot by Lauren Hutton, with photography by Mert and Marcus.

For starters, Lindsay makes it clear from the onset that she is in no way proud of her past choices, while also saying that it is the public who refuses to see that she has actually changed her ways. However, what hurts her the most is the fact that no one, and especially not the media, is willing to give her a second chance, just because she’s a star – which, in the first place, she neither asked, nor wanted to become.

“The worst part is, in terms of what people see of me, I have become this girl who just loves to be photographed, doesn’t know how to focus, doesn’t know how to work on set, just loves the attention, knows how to go out at night, knows how to party. And you know what? I was 20 years old. I never went to college. And I lived maybe six months out of my life like that, doing something wrong, and then I stopped. God forbid I should have ever learned my lesson.” Lindsay tells Interview.

It seems that, once with the drastic changes she made to her life, Lindsay also grew up enough to realize the error of her past ways. If only others saw it too, she laments, then maybe she could go on with her life. “I just feel as though it’s become a situation where people have manifested this caricature of who I am, and they act as if there’s no real person inside of it.” she says.
