People: Lindsay Lohan recently got a new tattoo as part of her post-breakup makeover. But what does it say?

According to a source who has seen the new ink, Lohan, 22, got a Marilyn Monroe quote tattooed in cursive on her inner-wrist during her visit to the Shamrock Social Club in West Hollywood last week. Monroe’s full quote is: “Everyone’s a star and deserves the right to twinkle.” The wording is also surrounded by yellow, blue and green stars. It’s no surprise that Lohan’s latest body art was inspired by the Hollywood legend. Last year, she recreated Monroe’s famous nude 1962 photo shoot for New York magazine, telling the publication at the time that Monroe’s life could serve as a cautionary tale. Namely, she said, Monroe was a “prime example of what this industry can do to someone.”

After her split with Samantha Ronson, Lohan has been struggling, a source says, noting, “She feels alone. All of their mutual friends have turned on her; she’s 22 but this would be tough to handle at any age.”

But another source close to Lohan says the starlet is actually stronger than she’s being made out to be. “She’s being painted as this victim, but she’s not,” that source says. “She’s a strong girl.”

In the newest issue of Us Weekly, Lindsay Lohan opens up about her heartbreaking split from Samantha Ronson, the “humiliating” weekend showdown with Ronson’s family, and says that friends’ fears she is suicidal are unfounded.

“It’s absolute hell,” Lohan told Us on Monday in a far-ranging interview over several lengthy phone calls and emails where she was agitated, crying and baffled by the turn of events.

Ronson broke it off with her girlfriend of nearly two years last Friday, and hired five security guards to keep Lohan out of an afterparty for her sister Charlotte at the Chateau Marmont. (Lohan was staying directly one floor above the Ronsons with her mom Dina and sister Ali.)

The next day, Ronson changed the locks on the Hollywood Hills home she shared with Lohan. On Monday, Ronson’s mom and sister asked police about obtaining a restraining order against Lohan, Beverly Hills Sgt. Nutall confirms to Us.

Lohan says she’s “so alone” without Ronson.

“Everyone’s turned on me,” says the actress. She tells the magazine that the night of the Chateau showdown, Nicole Richie walked by her and said “Uck,” and Drea De Matteo said, “Come at me, b—h.”

Sources tell the magazine Ronson had repeatedly tried to break up with Lohan over the past month, but each time, “Lindsay threatens to kill herself — she cares about her but wants out.”

Lohan laughs upon hearing that, saying she’s okay.

“I’m just really hurt!” she says. “The whole situation is sick.”

PEOPLE.com: Lindsay Lohan and her celebrity deejay girlfriend Samantha Ronson have split – and this time, Ronson’s family hopes it sticks, a source tells PEOPLE.

“Sam’s family has made her swear that it’s really over,” a friend of Lohan and Ronson’s tells PEOPLE. “They are giving her all the support they can to keep her away from Lindsay.”

Adds another source close to Ronson: “Lindsay is going to try and twist the situation in her favor, but Sam clearly left her, not the other way around.” Lohan herself spoke out on Monday telling E! news, “We are taking a brief break so I can focus on myself.”

Meanwhile, Lohan has reportedly written several messages on her private Twitter page alleging Ronson’s infidelity and drug use led to their breakup. In one message, the actress wrote, “You broke my heart. Now go away. I loved you.”

Locked Out
The on-again off-again pair have not been spotted publicly together in recent days, while Lohan has been a fixture on the L.A. scene, stopping into Chateau Marmont with her sister Ali on April 1, and even jumping on stage to sing along with Lily Allen during the British pop star’s concert the following night at the Wiltern.

Over the weekend, Ronson changed the locks on her house, a friend of the pair confirms. “Sam changed the locks on her house,” the source tells PEOPLE. “Lindsay moved her stuff out as much as she could. She’s basically totally out of the house as far as her stuff and she’s not living there anymore.”

Adds the source: “Lindsay was pretty devastated.”

Not Invited to the Party
This weekend, Lohan attempted to get into the “I Heart Ronson” bash at Bar Marmont in West Hollywood – an event celebrating Charlotte Ronson’s clothing line and deejayed by Samantha Ronson.

“Lindsay was banned from the event and was trying to enter from all ends,” says a source. “Sam did not want her there.”

The next night, Lohan hit up other hot spots including the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. According to a paparazzo, who spotted the star at McDonalds later in the night, “Lindsay kept hiding her face in her hands … One second she would scream that we were scaring her and the next she started rambling about how much she loves Samantha.”
